Fundraising events include BBQ’s, Christmas card competition and collections

Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre embarked on several initiatives to raise funds along with guest contributions. We had our first after-work BBQ Poolside Lime. Proceeds (US$800 each) were donated to The Sri Jayalakshmi Children’s Home, The Emmanuel Cradle Home and The Islamic Home for Children. We hosted our Annual Christmas Card Competition where children from underprivileged homes participated and enjoyed a “kidelicious” lunch. Winner of the competition won US$800. Another first was the joint collaboration with Radio Station 90.5 FM “Share the Magic of Christmas Drive” to underprivileged children in rural areas. The day was a culmination of weeks of preparations to collect toys, clothing and food to be distributed to these families.
